Emergency Vehicles Fill Ionia Street
The Silvas had a number of reptilian life forms in cages on the second floor of their home when the lightning struck – iguanas, geckos, some large, some small. It appears that all of the reptiles survived the ordeal.

Today Lightning struck the Silvas home at 805 N Ionia Street, Albion, MI 49224, hitting the air conditioner and causing a powerful explosion inside the home. There didn’t appear to be casualties but a call went out to Albion and Sheridan Township for a mutual aid request. A thunderstorm did appear for a short time but quickly dissipated and the sun shone again just minutes later.
