Sunsations Tanning Salon Permanently Closing This Week

This week Doug and Martha Gasche will be closing Sunsations Tanning Salon down for good. Economics are the reason for the closing. It seems that Albion’s city government has a high equipment usage tax that swallows any chance for the store to stay above the red. Some businesses here in town are given tax breaks but that’s usually given to big business – Small businesses are on their own for the most part.

ALBION GOODWILL STORE CLOSED

For half a century Goodwill Industries did business in Albion. As of
last Saturday that business ended with the closing of the North Eaton
Street store.

Goodwill officials cited economic losses as the reason for the closing.

Store inventory is being relocated to other Goodwill outlets.
