This is an online news blog-site that’s striving to be the official newspaper of the 21st Century where Albion is concerned. Albion is located in South Central Michigan, about 100 miles west of Detroit on I-94. Our town has a little less than 10,000 residents including the students and faculty of Albion College which is one of the best schools in the country. My name is Scott R Heath and I’m a computer technician and consultant. I have an extensive background in journalism which I shall call on with this new project I have called the Albion Oracle. If it’s happening here in Albion, you’ll be able to read about it here in the Oracle. Comments & Questions are welcome, as are Opinions & whatever else readers wish to contribute. The days of the E-Mail Newsletter are over – Here you can visit the site for current news or events and/or subscribe to our RSS Feed and have the news delivered FREE right into your RSS Reader, such as the popular Google Reader – RSS is the way to go if you have a lot of interests!
This project is sponsored by Scott’s Computer Geek Service, also my business. No job too large or too small! Computer Service and repair at a cost of less than half of what you’ll be charged by Best Buy’s Geek Squad or Circuit City’s Firedog – Now I offer FREE TECH SUPPORT at http://albiontechsupport.wordpress.com or email me at computergeekservice@gmail.com

I am glad to see that you are covering local elections. But a new medium shouldn’t let itself get trapped in the old idea that there are always and forever only two parties to cover. I was actually the first candidate for Calhoun County Clerk-Register to qualify legally for the November 4 ballot — not because of any special virtue of mine, but because state law requires my party, the Green Party, to nominate candidates by convention and caucus before the publicly-funded primary. I’m not asking to be first in line to be reported on (unless you go alphabetically) — but I do think I deserve coverage. So how can I help you do that? (For example, is the ComputerGeekService@gmail.com address suitable for receiving news releases?)
